I've always known that I wanted to work with children and adolescents. Prior to college, I was chosen to enroll in a course that helps those desiring to work in education or any filed working with young people. Also, I worked as a Substitute teacher and Paraprofessional Teacher for a special needs classroom over the course of a school year; which include the areas of reading, mathematics, science, and language arts. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology with a minor in Sociology in May of 2009, and I am currently working on my Master's of Counseling. I love learning and the precision arts such as mathematics. This has driven me to begin in a computer career. I spent almost two decades applying my computer skills. Learning has never stopped for me. But then I love the outdoors and working with my hands. I have taught myself the carpentry trade and the concrete business. I started out by sitting down with the manuals and memorized the building codes before I built my own house. Recently I applied mathematics to a roof I was building. Simple, yes, but not everyone would take the time to lay it out on paper and get accurate measurements. I have worked at summer camps for children ages 8-16 throughout my entire life, and love making a difference in a child's life. I am very patient and have a positive attitude.
