I have been fortunate to teach biology to undergraduates for nearly forty years. I am passionate about making sure my students not only excel in the courses they take, but are prepared for a world in which the biosciences (especially the molecular biology of the genome & DNA!)will form the basis of medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, and major technological breakthroughs in environmental science. It wasn't until I completed my B.S. degree and had a child of my own to fully understand the importance of an education. My son was diagnosed with Autism, this diagnosis woke in me a new desire to learn. I went on to complete my Masters Degree while working on my son's social, language and educational development.
