It depends on the student, each student has its own way, can use games, flash cards, videos, scientific reading, all depending on their needs!! Generally like to leave some homework but not excesive.
Im a Biologist who has always work in the field of cellular and molecular biology, have treat experience in cell tissue culture such as human skin allografts. My first major mentoring/teaching experience occurred in college when I began leading study groups and eventually organizing tutoring sessions with a number of my fellow English, Calculus, and Physics students. I then obtained a position as a youth counselor with the YMCA and quickly moved up to Site Coordinator where I was in charge of my own after school care group, including being in charge of organizing activities and managing youth counselors. The subject that students need the most help with is math. I have noticed the differences in difficulty when trying grasp mathematical concepts and have found ways to somewhat cater to their specific trouble areas. It is very important to give lots of examples and practice problems.
