A Little Bit About Me...

As the daughter of an educator, I not only grew up understanding that every child could learn, but that every child deserved a sincere smile. Working with preschoolers has certainly tested my patience at times but also has increased my understanding of how a child learns and challenged me to find different methods of explaining information. I have always enjoyed learning myself and believe that children often do so as well if presented in a clear way that they find enjoyable.

In previous work evaluations my supervisor has described my teaching style as "Experiential". I have a passion to teach with example and hands on practial skills. I created a game in which to teach parents and children how to get rid of their "hang ups". My motto is "Reaching Higher" and I thoroughly enjoy helping a child or adolescent reach higher to understand their full potential. It is an "ah ha" moment for both myself and an individual that I might be teaching, when they "arrive" at that point, to reveal their own learning style.
