A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Renewable Natural Resources and a Clear Single Subject Credential in Biological Sciences and Foundational Math (all but calculus). I have home schooled my children, worked in a private school both tutoring and teaching and taught in a public high school over the last 22 years. I have tutored groups and individuals in the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Calculus, Trigonometry, History, English, and all subjects down to the second grade level. During that period I worked as an outreach tutor through the university's Education Equity Program tutoring struggling students at the middle school level in reading and rudimentary mathematics. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Physical Science from California State University, Fresno. I received my first teaching experience as a substitute teacher. I next worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a year. I was then offered a full-time, permanent teaching position as a fourth grade elementary school teacher. This position lasted three years. Because of my work with persons who have physical and mental problems, I have learned to be patient and sharpen my listening skills.
