As an attorney I have spent the better part of my career mentoring co-workers and educating clients. As a litigator, I have drafted countless legal documents including pleadings motions and appellate briefs. As a result I have gained substantial insight into the art of persuasive writing. After attending Villanova University and Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration, I began tutoring part-time with Studypoint. I believe effective learning can occur in a 1-on-1 tutoring situation when the tutor and the student can communicate well. Tone, mood, and setting all come into play. A tutor who is relaxed, cheerful, encouraging, and resolutely intelligent is more likely to be approachable and someone the student will collaborate with successfully. I believe in active listening and working together to establish a method of studying. I took high school and college seriously. After college I worked for several years before attending law school. After law school I decided to combine my legal experience with hands-on medical skills, and I enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at SUNY Delhi, which I will complete next May.
