My teaching style is fun and engaging. You must find what engages a student. Everyone has a different learning style. My teaching style utilizes any and all manipulatives necessary to engage a student. I also review student data to determine what learning gaps exist.
I have eighteen years of experience: ten at the missle school level, and eight at the high school level. My experience includes teaching "at-risk" students from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations. I have taught sheltered, regular Pre-AP and AP. My comments on tutoring American History : One of my favorite subjects in school. Still read about it constantly.

Very relaxed and encouraging. I use quite a bit of discussion, and I like to ask students questions that lead them down the path to help them discover the answers they seek. I have found that information is better retained if one can guide the student to the conclusion that they seek, building upon the knowledge that is already there. One of my favorite thing is watching stidents' faces when they have the "Aha!" Moments.
