I have been an instructor at Rice University, and I have been a substitute teacher for the Toms River (NJ) school system. I have undergraduate degrees in history and journalism as well as graduate degrees in history. I have also worked in the public history field as a museum interpreter and educator. My teaching styles vary depending on the student. I had one student who was an adult, moving to Ecuador for 2 years to work.
