A Little Bit About Me...

Since a classroom is filled with students who have different learning styles as described by Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences, I use a variety of ways to teach. Lectures are done through power point presentations, along with worksheets and handouts. Hands-on has been used in anatomy and physiology classes. Adult learners bring a lot of experiences to the classroom, and sharing and discussing brings a different perspective. Role playing helps students to look at a situation for another's point of reference. I tried to get students to determine the best way he/she learned in order to use that style when completing assignments or studying.

I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. I have been teaching kids as a substitute for many years and went back to school in my middle 30's to become a teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Therefore I can tutoring not only business in Accounting and also Math or language in Chinese.

I have tutored students both with and without learning disabilities. In my 15 years as a teacher in elementary and high school, and as a tutor, I have covered math through algebra and geometry,biology, geography/history, chemistry and physics.
