A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Yale University, I recognize the value of education for the generation of young people who will soon run our country. For the past year, I have tutored students in a wide variety of subject areas: English, History, Geometry, Biology, Spanish, French, and SAT prep. I work well one-on-one with students of all ages and ability levels.
I believe that all students learn in their own way and that a teacher must get to know his or her students in order to evaluate their strengths and specific needs. It is important to give students guidance, but also to teach them to work independently to boost their self-confidence. I constantly seek feedback from my students and their parents to find the best way to help them succeed.

I love to teach foreign languages, and I find nothing more rewarding than guiding students on their way to full proficiency. I hope to secure a position where I can continue to devote my energies to teaching and mentoring students as they develop their language skills and to developing curriculum materials that facilitate effective language learning.
As a professor at Baku State University, I offered courses in foreign languages, linguistics, research methodologies, and pedagogical methods in language teaching. I developed and designed the Urdu curriculum at Baku State University myself, and the undergraduates and graduate students I trained went on to become diplomats, translators, medical interpreters, and language teachers.
