Chemistry is one of my top subjects! I have had the good fortune of tutoring several high school and college students in chemistry over the years and would welcome the opportunity to serve in that capacity again.

Over the past several years, I have tutored several high school and college students in chemistry and would welcome the opportunity to serve in that capacity again. One college student that I tutored failed his first two exams before I began tutoring him. After I began working with him, through his hard work, he did well on the third exam, passed the course, and continued on in the program that he was in. He recently graduated with a degree in pharmacy. Another student that I tutored got a 2 out of 10 on his first quiz before I started working with him and through his persistence, he improved significantly and got a B+ in the course. My teaching style is upbeat and engaging. I believe that just telling a student the material and expecting them to know it later is a misconception. How I was trained to tutor students was to have them explain the material to me, instead of giving blatant answers, or if we don't know we could review the textbook, the notes, or look it up in another resource. Not only does this give the student the correct and complete answer, it allows them to retain study skills which will be vital down the road in other courses and reinforces great study habits.
