In addition to my degree in physics and electronics,I have several years of experience working as a scientist/researcher. I have also been a teaching assistant for graduate students while at MSU. Even though I have not taught in a classroom,I volunteer several hours a week tutoring kids at the local library.

The hardest thing about teaching is determining how the individual student learns. I have found that all people learn differently so it is best to understand this process to make the teaching more effective. I like to challenge the individuals I tutor. My teaching style is entirely dependent on who I'm teaching. I try to prod and ask leading questions, while also looking for how it is I can relate the subject matter to the student. I consider it a failure of mine if I am ever forced to recommend a student memorizes something that they ought to understand on a deeper level.
