My comments on tutoring Spelling : I have always been excellent at spelling. With my extensive experience in reading, writing and typing, I have a vast knowledge of spelling.

High School graduate, Robert E. Lee, Staunton,Va. 1971. Blue Ridge Community College, Weyers Cave, Va. 1 year Chemistry, on Merit list. Graduated from Staunton School of Cosmetology, Staunton, Va. 1980. Have had my own cosmetology business from then to the present. Southside Community College, massage therapy, included anatomy and physiology, 2013. Studied business and teaching, at VCU, 1971-72, did not complete degree program.
Relaxed, personal, but concentrate on learning, making progress at student's pace and level of achievement. I will try to make learning fun and interesting.

Spelling is one of my top subjects! Spelling is one of my favorite subjects. If you do not know how to spell than reading would be complicated for you.

My teaching style varies according to the student. I am able to adjust to the needs of the person or person I am tutoring.
I have 11 years of experience as a Paraprofessional on the secondary level. I work with children that have all kinds of learning disabilities and mild behavior problems. I have great skills in managing small groups of students and can carry out any accomodations on an IEP. I am fair, fun, but firm. I've always believed that children learn by doing. I would rather have my students get real hands-on experience because concepts can be better attained and understood if children get real experience with it. I also believe that children learn differently from one another and a teacher should be able to accommodate the different learning styles of her or his students. One method may not work for a student, so I feel that it is the teacher's responsibility to make sure each student reaches their full potential by finding ways that will work for her/his students and then incorporate these differences in the classroom.
