My comments on tutoring Study Skills : Having been immersed in a rigorous college program for the past three years, I have learned to study well in all subjects.

I was homeschooled at a higher academic standard than public schools. As a current senior at Pensacola Christian College, I have recieved a steller education in English, as well as Bible and Biblical Greek. The usefullness of understanding Biblical Greek and being able to study the Bible in its original languages cannot be overemphasized. This is where I would like to spend my tutoring time, although I will be willing to help in basic English, Writing, or Reading.
The most effective teaching takes place whent he teacher presents the information clearly and then gives the student ample opportunity to put it into practice, with the teacher watching and assisting.

I have 25 plus years experience in teaching children and adults. I am currently working on my PhD in education with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction. I have a very unique way of teaching. My key to success works on a system of discipline and rewards. I find creative ways to make the most mundane tasks fun to accomplish. I think the number on rule in teaching strategy should be finding a way to make the process enjoyable.
