In my experience, most students under perform in science and math due to the an inability to relate theses subjects to practical real life examples. Connecting chemistry and physics principles with analogous real life examples is the key for students to become both interested and proficient in these subjects. My teaching style tends to reflect the learning style of the student. I like to use various forms of study materials to ensure the student has a good grasp on the subject. I usually review the material with the students first and then give them a quiz to see what they have learned and where there weaknesses are.
