I most enjoy working with students on a one-to-one basis, or in a small group. I believe each student wants to achieve to the best of his or her ability. It is my opinion that the student does not fail -- rather, the school often fails the student. I will work with your student in a positive, encouraging atmostphere that will help them do their best. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Michigan University, majoring in History and minoring in Political Science. In addition, I have earned twenty-seven credit hours in English composition and writing courses. I have tutored at the college level, have volunteered in elementary classrooms as a reading and phonics coach, and have taught Latin with the Memoria Press homeschool curriculum materials. I am the mother of three grown children, two currently in college.
