I believe that anyone can understand the subject matter if it is presnted to them in a way that fits their unique learning style. I can demonstrate several ways to learn the same material, and have learned through my years of teaching experience how to quickly identify which method is best understood by an individual. I received a BS degree in chemistry and a minor in applied biology. My original thought was to attend medical school (I even took the MCAT), but decided to persue a PhD in inorganic chemistry instead. I have extensive experience in working with students. I enjoy teaching and believe that anyone can learn mathematics if given the proper help and assistance. I am very patient with students and find it rewarding to see them succeed in the their line of study. Using alot of examples and then using a "hands on approach" builds the student's confidence and ultimately success is how I like to teach. Motivating and encouraging students is also a key to my style of teaching.
I am Ohio Northern University graduate and have a major in mathematics and a minor in secondary education. I have taught high school mathematics for four years. I have held positions of CFO, controller, and divisional analyst which enabled me to gain extensive experience in the private sector of business and advanced technical skills in microsoft excel and various accounting systems. Presently, I am an adjunct instructor at teaching college algebra.

Graduated from wright state university in 1993 with a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering. I have worked the past 16 years in the automotive industry mainly as a manufacturing supervisor. Also, since high school have volunteered abd served on 2 fire departments as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. I truly miss teaching and mentoring kids. I approach teaching as an opportunity to bring out the maximum potential within each student. I am a firm believer each student views learning differently, meaning as educators we need to ensure no student is left behind. I take a hands-on approach to education, stressing the importance of real life experiences. We should illustate to students how "what is learned today will become practical later in life."
Upon the completion of my undergraduate studies, I was encouraged to sign up as a substitute teacher. This subsequently led to a full time position, where I taught Junior High Mathematics. I also coached wrestling and mentored the Quiz Bowl team.
