I love teaching and learning. I made the Dean's List the entire time I attended UNM. I have always had a passion for education. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, which has enabled me to teach kindergarten through 12th grade. I also obtained my master's degree in Literacy at UNM. I was a Reading Specialist for three years and love working with children and helping them with their reading skills. Although it took me 15 years to obtain my B.S. in Business Management, I do not view that as a disadvantage. My travels with my military husband enriched my education by enabling me to experience different cultures, and by giving me the opportunity to meet, live among, and work with people of many different backgrounds. A Little Bit About Me...

I was very much involved in International School IB Systems. I was formerly a Classroom Teacher in American Schools in Kuwait City and Mexico City 2 yrs each, much earlier in my teaching career I was a teacher in public schools in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 9 years before going to Nicaragua American School to teach Chemistry in 1991. I was once involved in an adult education program with Intel Corporation in Rio Rancho and instrued courses in Mathematics including probability and statistics.
I have always enjoyed my work as a classroom teacher.My Goal has always been to build a self sustain classroom culture centered around acheivement.In Science, I have constructed my lessons and laboratory work for students around Inquiry style.
