I currently work in a PreK-12 School setting as a Certified School Library Media Specialist. I am responsible for teaching Prek-6th grade library/research lessons. When I am not teaching I am monitoring 7-12 students who are utilizing the library media cnter. I manage two library spaces, am the primary purchaser for books, technologies, and databases, and work closely with the administration team to meet and exceed curricular goals. A Little Bit About Me...

I try to work at a pace that is comfortable for the student and also meets the academic requirements for their program. I have a lot of patience and encourage students to try even when they are not familiar or comfortable with a subject. The first step is always the hardest. I believe anyone can learn and feel no one is too old to go back to school. Learning and education should be encouraged no matter what stage of life we are at.
I earned Associate’s degrees in Liberal Arts and Accounting, as well as a Certificate in Office Technology. I had the highest GPA for both the Certificate and the AS in Accounting at the same time. As a graduate of a doctoral degree in Executive Leadership and a Master's Degree and Bachelor's degree in Education, graduating with honors, I value education tremendously. I have experience in leadership studies, childhood education, and working with students who have special needs or less prepared for college.
