I believe that students need guidance and structure in order to reach their highest potential. In the classroom, instruction can only be differentiated so much. Individual tutoring would allow me the chance to really meet a student at their level and understand their learning style. I am currently in my first year teaching in Indianapolis. My MA in International Relations has allowed me to teach political science and writing composition at the university level. In college, I received certifications in teaching English as a Second Language, and I have taught English to foreign students at the university level. As a mathematics minor in college, I also have experience in tutoring mathematics (particularly algebra and geometry) at the college-prep level. Finally, I can also tutor in SAT preparation.
