Hi! My name is Lauren Cotman. I am a middle school Spanish teacher in Chesterfield County. I have been studying Spanish since I was in the 6th grade and went on to become the President of the Spanish National Honors Society while I was in High School. While in High School, I developed a love for the language and all of the different cultures of the Spanish speaking world. I went on to major in Spanish at Bridgewater College and I was very active with the Latino population on campus and in the community. I went on to further my knowledge by studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico and in Barcelona, Spain. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. My teaching experience is mostly in private school settings and I taught public school for a year. I am currently waiting to be certified in Spanish in Virginia and will be taking the courses necessary to become a certified teacher in the near future. I have taught 6 grade to High School level Spanish, English and Social Studies and Middle School Math.
