A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student at Rice University, I taught labs for the undergraduate students and was also an exam grader. Furthermore, upon the completion of my doctorate degree in physics, I taught physics for six and a half years at the university level. Following this, I taught mathematics on the high school level and have been a tutor on the high school and middle school level. Thus, I have several years of experience in a teaching or tutoring capacity. As an undergraduate, I completed my degree with a 3.5 grade point average and had all A's and B's during my graduate education.
My teaching motto is simple, practice makes perfect. The more you practice solving physics problems the easier it gets. My interest in mathematics and physics led me to my college program of Civil Engineering. Along the way to earning my BS in Civil Engineering, I was exposed to a broad range of mathematics and different areas of physics. I have an earned M.S. and B.S. in Applied Mathematics which have given me the needed skills to work with students. I also have worked in a Math tutoring lab for about a year. In addition, I have taught a summer algebra class as well as graded statistics papers for professors.
I really love helping students understand the material. One rule that I do have is that students should at least try and not be lazy about the matter.
