A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with both children and adults. I think that everyone has the ability to learn ,but teaching styles need to be geared toward the individual. Some seem to learn more through doing while others from lecture. Everyone has the potential to learn just at different paces. I believe that everyone has potential and it is our job as tutors and teachers to help bring it out. There are no stupid children just lazy teachers in my opinion. I love young people and I am very passionate about education. I was asked to teach French for seven summers for students who had failed during the school year. One year they were short a sophomore French teacher and I did that every morning before work. I then realized I had a passion for teaching language.
When I was teaching the children of Saint Anthony, I made sure that my classes were well prepared. We reviewed their homework, and I encouraged and motivated them, always. I think that children do well in classes that are well prepared, and varied with different grammar, vocabulary, talking, reading, and visual teaching methods.
