I have taught for over 25 years in settings as varied as inner city schools in NYC to a small public school in Arlington Vermont, and an elite private school at Stratton Vermont. I have taught remedial, basic, bilingual and honors level classes in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science in class room settings. I started out working as a Head Start teacher's assistant and the following year I was promoted to Head Start teacher and manager. I have also worked as a 1:1 instructional assistant with a high needs student. I like to discover what my students already know about the topic and to expose any misconceptions. Brainstorming activities work well for me.
