I find working with children rewarding. I am patent and understanding and cater to individual learning styles. I use my artistic sense to help students visually understand learning. I believe the key to understanding and learning is to make learning fun and memorable. I'm a strong believer in constructivist learning and believe that children need to explore to learn. I started out working as a Head Start teacher's assistant and the following year I was promoted to Head Start teacher and manager. I have also worked as a 1:1 instructional assistant with a high needs student. Currently I worked in a behavior school as an instructional assistant, and I have stepped in to plan curriculum and teach all the classes because the teacher has been on paid leave this year. I also have been commuting to college in Castleton State College from Springfield after work to complete my degree in education.

I believe I have a natural ability to work with students of all ages. Tutoring and being able to help students understand certain topics is very rewarding for me. I truly enjoy doing helping others. My teaching style is somewhat laid-back, but students know that I expect them to learn to their fullest potential. I believe in using several learning styles in the classroom and being to identify which students require different ways of learning.
