I have a BA in History/English from the University of Mississippi. I have been a teacher for the past year in Tate County Mississippi. This experience has allowed me to develop a teaching style to reach all types of learners. I have also been a tutor in English on a senior level. I have training with children of all learning styles. One of my students was also ADD/ADHD. I have achieved and maintained a 3.0 in all English and History courses at the college level. I have worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds, and have learned something from each and every one of them. My hope is that I have not only provided them with academic instruction and learning experiences that will prove beneficial to them, but that I have also instilled in them a love for learning that will last a lifetime and people skills that will allow them to be conscientious, contributing members of society. I am a high school honors graduate with a BA in English and teacher certification in English, Spanish, psychology, and special education. I am national board certified in special education. I have tutored in Memphis, and have also taught learning strategies. I am retired and eager to find part time work.

I graduated from one of the top teaching schools in the nation (according to NCATE), and have a degree in elementary and special education. I specialized in math education, but am also qualified to teach English, science, and social studies. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old and as old as 15 in a formal setting. I have helped children go from hating a subject to being successful and loving it. I first and foremost believe that every child can learn, and I refuse to entertain any idea that says otherwise. I have found that a constructivist approach works best for most children, and I will always try this approach first. I try to make learning as hands on and relevant to the real world as possible.
