Passion to teach students to be successful!

I am a retired teacher with over 38 years of teaching both children and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have a BA and Masters degree in Education with an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. I was a reading coach for 8 years where I taught teachers the best practices in teaching reading. I have taught every grade level and including college level. The last 4 years I have taught international students in an intensive English language program at a college level. My passion is teaching and want my students to be successful in whatever endeavors they take on in life.

I am extremely passionate about the education of our youth, and I believe that it is the foundation of a growing society. During my undergraduate studies I tutored at Delta College's Teaching/Learning Center for almost 2 years. While working there I received an award for Tutor of the Year. Delta College being a community college with a wide range of students I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I focused mainly in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. Since my job at Delta College I have also tutored privately.
