A Little Bit About Me...

When I teach, I try my best to be open minded, and to give choices to the student, rather than follow a closed-box cookie cutter curriculum. I've found it's important to find a personal way of learning for a specific student. Variety is important, because every child learns a little differently. Some kids learn by listening, others by seeing. Some kids learn only when they're making things. Encouragement and recognition when progress is attained by the student is a great incentive.
I'm currently a student in school who has had a wide range of experience in various different subjects, specifically working best with mathematics, science and language arts in the elementary and middle school level. I'm familiar with I've been doing my best to educate myself in as best as I can, not simply for the sole purpose of filling a resume, but for the sake of learning.

B-boy style by the mile!!!!

My teaching style is definitely more of a facilitator/demonstrator style where I show and teach you the moves step by step then encourage you (the peer) to learn, search, and practice independently.
I have breakdancing since '98. I have competed and won many battles both alone and with my old breakdancing crew. I have taught an all ages class successfully for one year and a middle school class for another single year. I have done choreography and am very proficient in innovating and creating new moves. Below exists a list of my major experiences and accomplishments with Arabic. - Learned Iraqi Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic for 18 months full-time. - Spent a month in Jordan in 2015 - Spent a month in Egypt in 2016 - Spent two months in Jordan in 2018. - In 2017, I spent 100+ hours assisting Arab refugees including spot interpretations and translations.
