I earned my bachelor degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in Teaching Secondary Mathematics and Secondary Earth and Space Science in 2001. Since that time, I have been teaching secondary classes at the same school which include: Earth science, astronomy, geology, transition mathematics, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and computer applications. I earned my Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University in 2008. My thesis was on the effects of teaching through the multiple intelligences by incorporating art with the sciences. I am an international student and since I came to UMD tutoring and mentoring became my favorite occupation. I have been tutoring students in a variety of classes of different categories. If a student is learning new material or does not understand the way something was explained I will try to come up with an alternative method. I have substitute taught for two years in the Superior, WI school district. Most of that has been at the HS and MS levels. I have also substituted at Marshall School as well as ISD 709 in Duluth as a special ed paraprofessional. My experience there is principally at Morgan Park MS in the autism classroom.
