My teaching syle is based upon all types of texts (books. internet, magazines)and many hands on activities to engage even the most relecutant learners. I am energetic and enhusiastic and feel that my passion for life time learning transfers to my students.
I have over 12 years of experience in the elementary education field. While my passion is reading instruction, I am certified and have taught in all elementary subjects: math, science and social studies.I have spent the last 8 years working as a reading specialist at a K-5 elementary school and the past three summers as a reading tutor with Lynchburg College's Summer Reading Clinic.
