After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. My last full time position was teaching high school material in a one room school to students who were wards of the state. I taught anger management for the local courts for eight years. Now I teach parenting classes for divorcing couples for the Giles County court. I also occasionally teach a seminar for attorneys on body language. As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused. I have earned a bachelor degree in Political Science with a minor in History and a master's degree in both Elementary and Special Education. I am currently finishing my certification in working with English Language Learners and receiving my ESL endorsement. Children are so important and shouldn't be overlooked or neglected. I have a heart for children, and that heart has grown larger now having three of my own.
