I generally teach through visual aids and through very thorough explanations. If the student doesn't understand the first time I explain something, I will explain it in a different way and will keep explaining it in different ways until he/she fully understands what's being taught. I try my hardest to teach by explaining concepts logically and showing WHY and HOW, rather than simply saying something is what it is "just because."

Calculus II is one of my top subjects! I took the AP Calculus BC exam in tenth grade and received fives on both the main portion of the exam and the AB subsection. I have taken Calculus III (multivariable calculus) at UNCC and received an A in the class. I have also done extensive extracurricular studying of calculus.

I gained my first tutoring experience by explaining difficult concepts to classmates that were struggling. I have been a tutor on WyzAnt for about half a year now. I have tutored math and physics students both at the high school and college level. All of the students that I worked with rated my lessons positively.
From my tutoring experience I have noticed that most students who have trouble understanding a difficult concept do so because they did not understand a more basic prerequisite concept, so I try to help students "fill in the gaps." When working with students, I work through a few problems with them, and then I have them do a few problems on their own to see if they understand. Calculus II is one of my top subjects! Calculus 2 is a little more difficult than calculus 1. The primary reason is the integration or antiderivation that must be learned. Integration is the most important concept to take away from calculus 2. Basically integration is the area under the curve and it is backwards derivation in respect to something. The hard part of the course is applying integration techniques to solve for various problems. I consider myself a good tutor for this subject according to peers I have tutored I can explain this concept very clearly.

I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. I have a passion for learning and love when I can help others learn complex material and pass classes. I have aced College Math up through Differential Equations and Calculus 3 algebra, trigonometry and geometry are foundations of the higher mathematics and therefore I understand them extremely well.
