I am currently a college sophomore at Florida Institute of Technology studying Computer Engineering so I know the problems a high school or school or college student would face in studies. Therefore, I will be able to communicate with m y students better and help them excel in studies and eliminate their weak points in any subject. I have no teaching style since I believe that to succeed one needs to seriously study and teach and cover your weakest subjects first.

I feel students learn best when they are engaged and interested in the topic. I think relating a topic in a practical and applied approach helps many students retain and apply the information they have learned. Some students work best with "Hands-on" activities (especially for kinesthetic learners), and some students are visual or auditory learners. Having been educated at a liberal arts school has also given me the opportunity to study philosophy and sociology. I also write well, as writing is emphasized in all disciplines of study at Knox. The most important part of teaching is to teach students the principle or concept behind a subject. I do not believe in making students memorize absurdly large lists of facts in order to pass a test. I never give up on a child or an adult. I recently tutored a law enforcement official to help him understand and pass algebra. He didn't think anyone could help him. The schools told me my son would never learn to read or write. He is my only child out of four who reads lengthy books for pleasure. Everyone has a different style of learning.
