A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate from Washington State University and I'm currently looking for employment in the Greater Seattle area. I have a degree in General Mathematics and enjoy helping others understand the material. I will work well with high school and younger students because they would not see me as another teacher because I will treat them as an equal and not a student. I also a a minor in English and have taken many engineering classes. Although I have no professional experience as a tutor, I have helped many of my friends understand the material. A Little Bit About Me...

I've taught in a Preschool classroom at my church for 1 year, and I've been a substitute teacher for the 2nd grade classroom at my church for 2 years. I've homeschooled two children for the past 11 years, and I've spent two years as a math instructor at a homeschool co-op. I've also worked as a tutor for Eastern Washington University's Computer Sciene Department for 2 years, and I've mentored several co-workers in software development over the past 28 years.
I treat math phobias and anxiety with respect. I teach students to be relentless when conquering their math problems. With the younger crowd, I often turn it into a game. With older kids and teens, I stress the importance of exposure and repetition.
