My comments on tutoring English : Second undergrad degree in English

I have a very interactive teaching style in which I want the student to ask me as many questions as possible. With literature how they interpret the material is just as important as mine. Making Learning as fun as possible.

I prefer to have a fun learning environment. I think you learn from hearing, seeing, and doing.
I’ve had many years of practice in the tutoring field dealing with the fact that my brother has a learning disability. He likes to have fun and thinks that leaning is boring, so I try to make learning as fun as possible. Then I have my student on student tutoring when the students tutor each other. I think its better that way because most students don't really pay attention to their teachers but they take it better when it comes from another student. Sometimes its better because something you understand they may not understand and when you explain it to them then may be they will understand it a little better. Basically what im saying is that some kids learn better from other kids.

Anyone CAN learn ANYTHING...I promise. :)

I believe that happy people not only learn faster, but they also retain more. Far too much of our kids' lives are spent cooped up indoors. Therefore, I like to take an open-door approach to learning and like to schedule as many sessions as possible out of the house/library/etc. Each session is guaranteed to be filled with fun learning experiences that the pupil will be sure to remember. A session with a child that needs reading/spelling/comprehension, for instance, could very well be done at the zoo. I want my kids to learn, and have fun doing it! A Little Bit About Me...

In high school, I was frequently the one that people came to for help. It was then that I realized I was extremely good at teaching. My senior year, I spent all day helping four different math teachers, one of which was frequently absent. In order to keep her class from falling behind, she had me make notes and go over practice problems with her classes. I spent quite a bit of my free time working on notes and worksheets, and giving step by step instructions to other children. My comments on tutoring English : Has a good understanding of the English Language.
