I like to take my time and make sure that the things I've shown are mentally retained. Everybody has a unique style of learning suited to them and you need somebody that can recognize those styles and adapt in the way they learn best. One of my favorite things is seeing a persons face (old,young or anywhere in between) light up after they play a riff or song after really working at it and wanting it so bad.
I have been playing guitar for about five years now. I've taught many of my friends to play as well. I have a lot of patients and really enjoy what I do. I can play anything from soft acoustic type style to metal. Scales, chords, style and theory. I can teach you everything you will need to take you and your playing to the next level.

I prefer a "hands on" approach in a one-on-one environment. I have had success with classrooms of up to 120 students, but I prefer the individual monitoring. It yields the best results. I have tutored remedial reading at the Elementary level for a tutoring service out of Phoenix, AZ for the Washoe County School System in Reno. While in my undergraduate study, I tutored fellow students who were struggling with beginning music theory. Another classmate and I taught classes in 4 levels of theory for up to 120 students while at U of P-West Chester. I teach Music Reading, Voice production and beginning theory to individuals in my church choir as well as microphone and performance technique.
