I began tutoring privately,as well as,for my school's learning center during the early 1990's. I have continued tutoring privately on and off for the past twenty years. I was a substitute teacher in California and Michigan during the 2000's. I also had my own high school level classroom in California for two school years. I was hired on an "Emergency Credential" because I had my BS but no teaching credential. I was laid off due to budget cuts in June of 2003. I also taught "at-risk" elementary age children during the summer for the Glendora Unifed School District in Glendora, CA. I was also a tutor at Macomb Community College (Center Campus) during the years 1997 and 1998. I was a math and physics tutor in the Center Campus learning center. The tutoring was mainly for community college students and occasionally high school students attending Macomb. Additionally, I would help a friend who was teaching at Wayne State or LTU by teaching one or 2 days of a course for him when he was on vacation.

When I am working with someone individually, it is easy to see if I need to backtrack and explain a concept another way. In a classroom setting it is sometimes a little more difficult to do this; However, I still want to be my best and for the students to be their best, as this is the only way for them to meet their learning potential. My teaching style is very unique because I tend to simplify the understanding process of mathematical analysis. I feel that I can teach anyone from 1st grade up to the college level. But I never do the problems for the student. Instead, I guide them through the problem so the student will learn first hand how to solve calculations step by step.
