Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I prefer small groups or One-on-One to be able to give my full attention to the student.
I have excelled in Math as far as I can remember, I have a couple of years of College completed and am currently getting back into school this summer/fall. I've never received below a B in a math class during high school, and never below an A in college. Math 102/1020 is the highest Math class I have taken.

Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I have a love for learning and helping others learn. I am currently in college to become an Elementary School teacher and I have really emphasized on math. I took honors math classes all through high school and I have enjoyed being able to study math and help others understand as well. I also have a love for piano. I am well studied in the classics and am willing to teach modern techniques as well.
I don't know if you could say that I have a "style" but I am all about seeing what they know first and giving them hints here and there so that they come to the understanding on their own and if it is needed I can show them how to do it and help them replicate it.

I love teaching kids. All kids can are different in the way they learn. you need to be able to recognize those kids who are auditory learners, and hands on learners and be able to make a good balance of both so both kids may benefit. After finishing my Masters Degree in Education I taught one year in a private school then opened my own business tutoring primarily homeschool students during the school year. The students I have worked with are primarily ages 11-18, but my experience with my own children includes the primary grades. I have tutored most subjects including reading, writing, science, history and math (through algebra).
I believe that children are born smart. Some of them have special learning challenges and some have been taught to believe that they are not smart.
