I love teaching kids. All kids can are different in the way they learn. you need to be able to recognize those kids who are auditory learners, and hands on learners and be able to make a good balance of both so both kids may benefit. I am often described as laid back. I focus on the key components of learning and students are surprised when they understand more than they thought that they did. With music, I enjoy beginners equally as well as more accomplished students. I also enjoy a good joke now and then. In public schools, I have taught all grades 7-12. After finishing my Masters Degree in Education I taught one year in a private school then opened my own business tutoring primarily homeschool students during the school year. The students I have worked with are primarily ages 11-18, but my experience with my own children includes the primary grades.
