I have my degree in Elementary Education. I have had experience teaching large class sizes, but I have also spent a lot of time in small group reading instruction, and I have worked in small group math. I tutored a kindergarten girl to improve her phonemic awareness. I tutored Language Arts in elementary school after school hours. I worked at a day care for 5 years and helped students with their homework after school.
I believe in meeting students at their level of need, and mastering the skills needed in order to move onto higher level skills. I believe in teaching students how to develop their critical thinking skills, and teaching them the concepts needed to succeed in school and life.

I taught Physics, Algebra and Trigonometry for a local high school. From that point, the bulk of my career was as an engineer, nuclear, mechanical and electrical. I have a number of years in Project Management. I also have four years of experience teaching at a Technical College, where taught College Math, Computer Science and Accounting.

I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time. Teaching position is a great way of showing that one cares for the learner and for the way everyone learns. I tutored various levels of French classes and my priority was not the money. Even now, I would often tutor French classes for free, because of my love for the language and also in order to help other French students exceed in their class. I try to find the best way to relate the given information to the student. Not everyone learns the same way. I will find what makes the most sense to the student and help them understand the given information. Throughout my education, I sometimes just wanted a different approach to the information. I would ask others their opionions and things all of a sudden were clear. That is what I want for my students.
I have been involved in tutoring many of my peers throughout high school and college. I find it very rewarding to help others succeed in their education.
