I know that each student has an incredible amount of potential and the trick to unlocking it is not in forcing a set way of understanding ideas, but in approaching each problem from several different fronts and working towards a total understanding of one concept before moving on to the next. Secondly, laughter and enjoyment need to be part of the learning process. As a student at Lynchburg College, I have had the opportunity to serve as a Peer Assisted Study Session Leader in general and organic chemistry. I will complete my BS in Biomedical Science in May 2011, with a wide range a science experience, from immunology to organic chemistry. The past 3 years, I have led PASS tutor sessions helping classmates understand and learn the material.
