While completing my masters in Special Education, I have learned creative ways to help children with special needs that I work with. I have designed and coordinated a Resource Center to help students with special needs learn and achieve at their level. I have also designed and implemented a school for children with special needs.
I believe that every child has a right to learn. I believe that, no matter what kind of problem or learning disability that student has, that he/she deserves to learn. Public school is not always rigorous enough for gifted students. When instruction fails to keep students engaged, they learn poor study habits. Ideally, students master study techniques before entering college either through school instruction or tutoring.
