I did this by striving for excellence in the classroom and participating in cutting edge research with professors in the Entomology and Organic Chemistry departments. My extensive knowledge of the subjects I’ve studied has allowed me to assist my friends in understanding complex and difficult problems. I believe the best way for someone to learn something is through application and repetition. My goal is to help your child achieve success. I explain real-life applications of the subject (i.e., metric system--repair of foreign cars.) I encourage questions and dialogue. I use praise when warranted but am firm on deadlines and honesty. Aware of attention span, I take appropriate breaks or switch to another subject. I remind him to read and follow directions and to check his work over before he hands it in. I believe that in this fast-paced technical age your child needs the best chance possible to compete successfully.
