Learning's only effective if it's fun.

I have a goofy, hands-on style. I try to make it fun. I am very strict, however, when it comes to grammar, respect, and completing proposed tasks. Obviously I have different styles for adults and children. My lessons are always custom designed with the client in mind and age-appropriate. I have an arsenal of materials and activities which I constantly draw from. I aim for a balance between games of all sorts and drills/assessments. Experience in the study of British and American Literature, also have made a study of History in America and Britain as well during undergraduate coursework. During my Master's I studied British Literature and was a teaching assistant. During that time I spent two years teaching composition and argumentation at Bowling Green State University to cover college level essay writing which required both classroom and individual tutoring outside of class. Each student learns in a different way, whether visually, aurally, kinesthetically, subconsciously, or simply by rote. I find that it is necessary to try each option with all students.
