More About This Tutor...

I first determine the student's learning style so I have an idea what works for him or her. Finally, helping the individual understand how she or he learns is the key that will allow him or her to take control. I help the student identify strategies and systematic ways to problem-solve so that she or he can develop independence.

Teaching children of any age is something that I truly enjoy, particularly learning about each child and their interests and manner of learning. I encourage the children I work with to think for themselves, to search for new ideas and meanings, and to always consider others' perspectives in making decisions. I believe that everyone learns by different means, and in tutoring others, I try to find the most motivating way of learning possible. I would describe myself as a calm, good-natured person with a wide variety of interests and a passion for working with children of any age.
