My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics. I presently teach students who are "at risk" in the 7th through 12th grades and have done so for the last 10-11 years at OHM-BOCES. I have tutored the NYS Math B course for 5 years as well as the current NYS Algebra I/II courses.

I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state. I have spent five years tutoring and 17 teaching, including 12 years of summer school. The best thing about teaching and tutoring science is that it easily transfers to all of the other disciplines. I am a teacher certified by NYS in Music Education grades K-12, and in Special Education. I did my undergraduate work at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam & my graduate work at Syracuse University. I spent one year teaching 8th grade chorus and music in the Churchville Chili Jr. High School, in Churchville NY. I currently work as a 7th & 8th grade music teacher in the West Genesee Central School District in Camillus, NY.
