I'll teach you Mandarin Chinese

Mandarin Chinese major at Michigan State University. Traveled to China for study twice, each for a 3 month duration. Lived with a native Chinese speaker for 1 year in apartment where 90% of communication was done in Chinese. I received a 3.5 overall GPA in Mandarin and I received a second Study abroad diploma while studying in China. Our classes were 7 hours a day, only speaking Chinese. Our teachers did not speak English. I want to teach you in a fashion that can prepare you for these types of experiences.

I have tutored in a community college for the last year. I also tutor Chinese students in math and biology; I speak Chinese and understand the language barriers that face non-speaking English students. I got my B.S years ago .I went back to school in my forties .I also tutor Psychology and Sociology I have several papers in review on Psychology related issues. I am President of our schools research group.
I love teaching. I feel children learn differently .Some children are visual while other children are lecture oriented. I have many ways of teaching, but I feel actual interaction works the best. I also feel that an approach to the big picture of how the material fits into the everyday life situations helps. I like to feel if you take the anxiety out of the material students learn with an open mind. Learning should be fun and rewarding.
