I have a BA in History/English from the University of Mississippi. I have been a teacher for the past year in Tate County Mississippi. This experience has allowed me to develop a teaching style to reach all types of learners. I have also been a tutor in English on a senior level. I have training with children of all learning styles. I substituted after graduation and realized I loved teaching. In college I was asked to tutor for my instructors. My classmates came over to my house to study. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ole Miss in 99'. I taught 2nd and 5th grade before going to Falkner to teach Special Ed. in grades 9-12. I helped prepare students for state tests. I co-taught in Eng. and Alg. I also taught MS Studies, W.Geog., U.S. History, Drama, Eng. II, U.S. History, Journalism, Tutorial and ACT prep also. I have experience in math and science as well. I love working with older children. By the time students have reached secondary school, most are developing confidence in their abilities and discovering their unique talents. As a teacher, I enjoy encouraging students to reach their potential in any subject. I am a whole brain power teacher. Most of my experience is with exceptional children from a range intelligence. I am preparing to graduate in the spring of 2011 from Mississippi State University with a special education degree.
