My comments on tutoring Calculus II : I recently took this course, so I have a fresh perspective on the material as a student.

I have four years of experience as a tutor that I obtained throughout my college experience. Tutoring is a personal joy of mine as I witness students who I've worked with succeed in their academics. It has been the most fulfilling job I've had, and I look forward to new experiences with students who desire to learn.
I do not consider myself a teacher but a helper. In my experience, the Socratic method in which I pose probing questions that unlock the student's knowledge is the strongest approach. I have been a teaching assistant and tutor for the physics department at Wofford College for two years (starting in 2013). This covers both semesters of general physics, from classical mechanics to waves to electricity and magnetism to optics and modern. I have also taken all of the upper level courses available at the school.
I prefer to meet with students who have already looked at the material and are prepared with questions.
