Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.

That is why I joined Bridge to Success Program on January 2001. BTS was a program, sponsored by Roger Williams University at the time, which focused in assisting and encouraging students from low income families as well as minorities. While earning my bachelor's degree from Brown University, I taught middle school math and upper school English for two summers at Cushing Academy. My students varied widely in terms of previous experience and motivation, and I strove to approach each at his or her level and to think of each of them as individuals, never just a member of a homogeneous classroom.
